Recording for the first time!

This past Wednesday 01.05.23 we had a great time recording some of my piano music. Interesting experience to record in a professional way for the first time. Thank you to my good friend Jacob Wessbo piano, Bosse Lindström recording engineer and FST – Föreningen Svenska Tonsättare for the financial support.

We recorded eight of my piano pieces. Five Intermezzos and three Meditations. The Intermezzos (Intermezzi in Italian) are a little simpler pieces and not too long. The Meditations are a bit longer and sometimes a bit more challenging for the pianist and gives the listener more time to reflect.

This is a full fledged concert grand piano, Yamaha CF III, which is their largest model and it sounded great! Jacob was actually involved in the purchase of the instrument a few years back for the church where we recorded. Equmeniakyrkan (Uniting Church) in Linköping, Sweden.

Bosse, our sound engineer. Very experienced, professional and super pleasant to work with.

Quite a bunch of cables and tech stuff. But all in all, pretty light and simple setup!

Releasing the recordings!

We will have to do some post recording work now. After it’s done we will release the music we recorded so it’s available for streaming on all major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and Youtube Music etc.
